Maple Leafs general manager Brian Burke is believed to be looking for an established defenseman and a high pick for Tomas Kaberle.
It would be difficult for Toronto to hold onto Kaberle after coming soon close to trading him.
"I predict my phone will start ringing on Monday morning," said Burke on Sunday.

Senators Trying To Trade Heatley At His Request
Senators general manager Bryan Murray is working to trade Dany Heatley at the winger's request.
Murray added that he was "shocked and disappointed" by Heatley's trade request.
"I have had some conversations with several teams," Murray told reporters. "I don't really have a timetable but I have encouraged anybody that is really interested to try to make the contact before the draft and we will get something done by that time I hope."
Oilers, Hawks Possibilities For Heatley?
The Senators have already received calls about Dany Heatley, and the Oilers and Blackhawks are two clubs that have been mentioned most in rumors.
The Sharks and Canucks have been mentioned in talks as well.
Ducks Deny Rumors Of Pronger Trade
Ducks general manager Bob Murray has strongly denied a rumor that the club has traded Chris Pronger to the Kings.
Rumors claimed that Anaheim was dealing Pronger to Los Angeles for Jack Johnson and the fifth pick in the NHL Draft.
Murray texted "NO," to the Globe And Mail when asked whether there was any truth to the rumor.
Heatley Wants Out Of Ottawa
Dany Heatley has reportedly informed Senators general manager Bryan Murray that he'd like to be traded.
Two league sources confirmed the request to Sun Media on Tuesday.
It is believed that Heatley's reported rocky relationship with coach Cory Clouston and a desire to play more spurred the request.
